SIX FINALISTS FOR ALL.FILMS.LOOK.ALIKE II COMPETITION

The script for the second round of All.Films.Look.Alike (AFLA) was harder than
the first script. Yet the armature/student filmmakers who participated in the
AFLA II competition welcomed the challenge and the opportunity to keep improving
their filmmaking techniques by learning from each film project.

Unlike the first script, which was shot in one location, the second AFLA script,
which required multiple locations, led the filmmakers to experience more of the
challenges of real-world production management. The fact there were six
finalists is amazing. Five of the films were shot in Palestinian refugee camps
in Jordan, one in Ghour Mazra'a village by the Dead Sea. Half the films were
shot by female filmmakers.

The AFLA II films showed real passion for filmmaking despite the odds. All
participants in AFLA competitions win our respect and appreciation. One, or two,
will win the $100 USD. In a few days, the jury will make its decision.
